These fantastic new Philanthropants were designed by Oli Mollard for The Green Party of Aotearoa. Printed in Australia on regeneratively farmed cotton & sewn right here in the Wairarapa a portion of the sales goes to support the Green Party in the 2026 election season.

These Kid's Original Thunderpants are super comfy and modest. Your cool kid can hang upside down on the jungle gym in a frock with confidence all their bum is still covered.

These are designed to be waist high in the small size for wee kids which makes them excellent toilet training pants. As the sizes get bigger the waist lowers a bit, but not a silly amount!

NB: These used to be called Girl's Original Thunderpants. All kids can wear this style and there is enough stretch in the fabric to accomodate different body shapes.

The ultimate in comfy undies in the always faithful plain black option.

  • Available in sizes small (2-4 years) medium (5-7 years) and large (8-10 years) this very comfortable brief sits in the natural crease at the top of the leg and around the high hip to navel area.

  • The Thunderpants fabric is 90% cotton and 10% spandex to give it that super comfy, soft stretchy feel. The waist and leg bands are constructed in the same, lovely fabric eliminating the need for the addition of nasty, grippy elastic and adding to the enjoyment of your Thunderpants experience. All the garments are made locally and lovingly in New Zealand.

  • To preserve the vibrant colours and life of the fabric we suggest you do not soak or bleach your Thunderpants items. Use a gentle detergent in a cold machine wash and dry your Thunderpants on the line, not in the drier.

Your Thunderpants are not only super comfy but they are designed to withstand some pretty staunch stuff, so get into them and get on out there!

Ellie ★★★★★

My kid refuses to take this shirt off, which says a lot since he's usually picky about tags and seams. Knowing it's made from regeneratively farmed cotton and sewn here in the Wairarapa makes the slightly higher price easier to swallow.

Emily ★★★★★

The cotton is thicker than I expected for a kids tee, and it's held up through three washes without fading. Knowing it was sewn locally and printed on regenerative cotton makes it an easy one to say yes to.

Adam Q. ★★★★★

My kid actually asks to wear this one, which never happens with any other shirt. The regenerative cotton has held up through maybe twenty washes without fading, and knowing it was sewn locally makes it feel worth the price.
