Quick answer
Both the Green Zen and Octopus cushion covers are made from the same organic cotton drill fabric and share identical care instructions. Your decision comes down to which print better complements your home decor.
Same fabric, same care
Both the Green Zen and Octopus cushion covers are crafted from fairtrade certified organic cotton drill. This means their care routine is identical: machine wash cool, gentle cycle, and line dry out of direct sunlight to preserve the print and fabric. No zips or fasteners mean no hardware to damage in the wash, and the fold-over flap design keeps the cushion inner secure.
Print longevity
The bold prints by Greta Menzies (Green Zen) and the Octopus design are screen-printed onto the cotton drill. To keep colors vibrant, wash inside out and avoid bleach. Both prints are equally durable, but the Green Zen's cool green tones may show less fading over time compared to the darker octopus ink.
Trade-offs
- Green Zen: Features a cool green linear design by Greta Menzies that evokes a calm, meditative mood. Best for rooms where you want a relaxing palette. Ideal for bedrooms, reading nooks, or yoga spaces.
- Octopus: Showcases a bold octopus print that adds a whimsical or nautical accent. The darker ink may require more careful washing to avoid fading. Great for living rooms, beach houses, or children's rooms.
- Care consistency: Both covers are made from the same organic cotton drill with a fold-over flap. No zips or fasteners means no extra care steps, but the flap design requires you to ensure the cushion inner is fully covered to avoid bulging. Always check the flap alignment after washing to keep the inner hidden.
